Tivoli in Miniature
The buildings of Tivoli, from geometric solids to a scale model
Many participants know the name of a cylinder without recognising one in a tower or a column: in primary school, solid geometry is almost always met through representations on paper. The programme brings it back into real space. Participants build the basic solids by hand, verify that the buildings of Tivoli are composed of them, and each rebuilds one, first on the computer and then in cardboard, on the shared base representing the town.
