Scientists in Miniature
The invisible forces of sport, measured on working models
Every movement in track and field involves forces that cannot be seen: air resistance, gravity, friction, energy. The programme makes them observable and measurable. For each phenomenon the teams make a prediction, build a working model with LEGO Education kits, program it and check through direct measurement whether the prediction was correct. Participants thus experience first-hand the procedure by which science works. No programming skills are required.

- The Invisible Forces Games, a closing event open to other classes and families, in which each team presents an event it has designed; and a logbook of predictions, measurements and diagrams of the models built.
