Future Architects

The program leads 8-11 year-olds to read the space they live in every day: their own school. There is no imaginary city to design, only the real building to survey, its shapes to recognize, and a scale model to build.

Structure

30 hours over 8 days. Groups of 3-4 children, each working on a real portion of the school building, identified through an on-site survey.

Excalidraw for projections, Tinkercad for the 3D model, cardboard for the final model.

The full building model, assembled portion by portion, presented by the children on the final day.
