Their own school, measured and rebuilt to scale
The programme takes solid geometry out of the textbook and applies it to the building participants attend every day. The class identifies the solids the school is made of, learns to represent it through the three views used in design, from above, from the front and from the side, and rebuilds it to scale, first with modelling software and then in cardboard. Each group works on one portion of the building; the portions are finally brought together in a single model. Geometry thus becomes a means of reading the space in which one lives, rather than a set of definitions.
